The 5 Pound Challenge

July 11, 2015--- When I reviewed my results and progress with Dr. Minkoff last Thursday, he told me that I need to eat more. Since starting treatment, I have lost 4 pounds on this Paleo diet. Doesn't sound too bad, right? Well, my BMI is now 17.6 and less than 18.5 is considered underweight. I told the doctor I am constantly thinking about food. I eat dinner and am ready for dinner again an hour later. The goal for the next 5 weeks is to gain five pounds (will keep you posted). So I am skinny, this is old news. In this fight for food, friends and family are literally trying to donate their fat reserves to me. The support that I am getting from loved ones is such a huge blessing. God is sustaining me everyday. One of the services that I have enjoyed recently is PaleoontheGO.com, which has been a lifesaver when my energy is too depleted to cook for myself. And when you are separated from your wife's home cooking for 4 weeks, your bound to lose weight.
